geminisquarehi!! a few people (one person) expressed interest in my thoughts on what seventeen's rising signs are, sooo.... here u are!

- first of all, his approximate birth time is out there floating somewhere, so i didn’t guess on this one
- he looks a lot like his leo stellium (broad shoulders, lion-like walk, the "mane" of hair... for lack of a better descriptor), but i think his rising is plenty visible
- virgo risings are known to look like elves: slightly pointed ears! dark hair, plump and rounded lips. also tend to have dramatic dark circles or tired-looking eyes (...in a nice way)
- personality wise, virgo risings tend to be polite, humble, and thoughtful, always wanting to improve themselves and help others. they also have a slightly nervous energy (ref: nervous laughter) and they’re extremely critical, especially of themselves.
JEONGHAN: LIBRA RISING
- certainty: like 90%
- i hesitated a lot on this one, but i’m absolutely positive he has a venusian rising
- the planet venus rules beauty and jeonghan is indisputably very beautiful
- venusian beauty: symmetrical faces, clear, glowing skin
- pleasant expressions and clear, melodic speaking voice
- libra risings tend to be tall, elegant and slender
- libra risings make excellent first impressions and tend to get along well with everyone. they see beauty in the world and want to make the world a kinder place.
- additionally, this places his sun in the 1st house. sun in 1st house natives tend to have excellent leadership skills (out of 95 line, sc and jh assume the role of leader over js). they also identify strongly with their self-image. jh is someone who cares deeply about his image, spends a lot of time curating it and protecting it.
JOSHUA: CANCER RISING

- cancer is generally treated as a "softer" sign because, as the sign ruled by the moon, it's emotional and "nurturing", but it's also a cardinal sign, meaning that they go for what they want, and tbh what joshua hong wants, joshua hong gets!
- cancer/capricorn axis has a soft voice; for cancer risings, their voices are high and soft
- cancer rising places his venus (aquarius) in the 9H (most likely). all of foreign line have placements in the 9th house, which rules long distances, foreign languages, and living abroad.
- something that i’ve noticed in common between seventeen’s cancer risings is that they’re very private. they lock away a lot of their relationships and personality when they go on camera and are some of the most deeply private members. josh, soon, and woozi all show this.
JUN: LEO RISING

- this would place his aries moon in the 9th house. the 9th house rules foreign lands/foreign languages. every single member of svt's foreign line has a personal planet (sun, moon, venus, mars, mercury) in the 9th house.
SOONYOUNG: CANCER RISING
- certainty: 100%
- his approximate birth time puts him in either leo or cancer and he's not *checks notes* ostentatious enough for that (loosely quoting bells)
- to be straightfoward: his gemini stellium is loud as fuck and he does not have the typical round look of cancer risings, BUT. he does have the round cheeks, flat abs (cancer rules the stomach/breasts so they tend to be very visually appealing in that area), high cheekbones, prominent brow.
- cancer risings read others easily and are good at picking up other’s emotions. they feel a lot of emotion and sympathy for the world. they tend to pick up on other people's emotions very quickly. most of them are a lot calmer - although we know soonyoung is quieter off camera! and sometimes we see it on camera - but most of them aren't gemini fireworks <3
WONWOO: CAPRICORN RISING

- his voice absolutely gave it away. saturn-ruled people have delicate but deep voices.
- lovely bone structure. tend to have micro-expressions; don't wear everything on their faces. straight nose and dramatic eyebrows.
- once you get past the stony exterior, they're very warm people.
JIHOON: CANCER RISING

- face small and round like the moon <3
- deadass. i thought he was a cap rising for a second that cap/cancer axis is a bitch
- they don’t tend to speak with their hands. they tend to be very calm and not very expressive with their faces (excluding the aries moon laugh. love that boy).

- THIGHS! sagittarius placements tend to have athletic builds with long longs and thick thighs

- they tend to have extremely open and friendly dispositions and show that they are extremely engaged in conversation.

MINGHAO: GEMINI RISING
- certainty: 90%
- creds to jami on this one i almost thought he was a VIRGO
- his aqua moon is very loud in his appearance imo!! he has that scorpio glower sometimes too. as for his gemini rising: fairy like appearance is common <3
- gemini risings tend to look younger than they are . thinking about rookie gyuhao when minghao looked so much younger than mingyu with his big eyes and sweet expressions
- does anyone remember that video of junhao when jun leans over to speak in minghao's ear and minghao's smile drops to a glare immediately. that's the gemini versatility babey
- although their feelings tend to show on their faces, they often have a sly look as if you'll never know all of their sides

- certainty: 80% ?????
- i took forever to decide between pisces and taurus but i’m pretty sure he’s taurus asc
- deer eyes, filled-out figure, well-shaped lips
- serene and steady eyes
- graceful and soothing presence, often have a good routine
- extremely determined people. just thinking about boo seungkwan who works relentlessly to present himself well and be the best at his craft.
- additionally! taurus rules the throat and with the right placement, can produce an extremely powerful or moving voice. with taurus in the 1H, boo shows an immense amount of emotion and self-expression in his singing.
VERNON: SCORPIO RISING
- certainty: 100%
- his eyes gave it away completely
- dark eyes and steady, intense gaze. they hold solid eye contact and never have "shifty" eyes. beautiful bone structure and prominent eye-brows.
- perfect poker face
- to elaborate: my favorite thing about scorpio risings is that they have a strong poker face but a "goofy" smile. very expressive once you break past the barrier
- pluto (one of scorpio's ruling planets) is a planet that emphasizes and dramatizes. in the 1st house, house of the self/self-expression, these people can't help but be themselves.
- powerful build (powerful movement! graceful dancer)
- this places his aqua sun in the 4H — he’s very family-oriented, which can also he attributed to his capricorn placements. the reason this placement sticks out to me is that 4H aqua and aqua moons know what it feels like to “stick out” in some way in the home/family/heritage. i’m not gonna speculate on the aqua moons (jh and mh) but as a mixed kid it’s obvious that vernon is aware that he sticks out in his home country, land of his heritage, etc.
CHAN: ARIES RISING
- certainty: 100%
- i actually guessed this before i learned his real birth time. go me!
- tbh i made this judgment because the kid is so disciplined that he either had a saturn-ruled rising or saturn in the 1st. (saturn in aries = saturn in the 1st house) while he does have that saturnian bone structure (god bless capricorn venus line) he’s absolutely an aries rising. saturn in the 1H feels like they constantly struggle to put their best effort forward and often suffer silently, not really willing to complain about the important things (although they might be whiny about other things. reference: me)
- EXTRA - they take a lot of time to figure out how to express themselves and their style best
- impatient, but that's not always a bad thing. it also makes them very diligent in a way because they want to finish their responsibilities quickly
- extremely passionate but sometimes oblivious to things outside of their immediate interest
- immense energy, sometimes impulsive; constantly in motion
